Children of the 80s
It’s surprising to get a straight answer from your sires, but several seem to be more than willing to dish on the former coterie Elder’s Ashes. The basic story seems to be that they were a loose social gathering of the more subtle and elusive members of the city, and had been around Atlanta at least since the 1920s (and it’s rumored that Vincent has been in the city since the first railroad marker was placed in the dirt). Their major purpose was to use their aloof positions to look for secret threats that the more sociable Kindred of the city might miss. And yet they totally failed to alert their peers in time to avoid the “sabbat.”
They were apparently at least instrumental in providing intel and safe passage for surviving members of the Camarilla in the city, and in helping the newcomers retake Atlanta, but the damage to their reputations had been done. While they’ve individually mostly returned to social positions of power, they don’t appear to really talk to one another anymore, and have left the job of watching the fringes to whatever other Kindred might want it.
